Theatre in the Grove is excited to announce our auditions for our all-day summer performance camp happening in July 2026. This is an amazing opportunity for your youth to learn about all aspects of acting and live theatre. Led by our staff and other local drama and vocal teachers, youth learn and have fun while rehearsing for a full production of The Addams Family: The Musical. The camp culminates with 2 weekends (8 performances) of shows open to the public with a LIVE ORCHESTRA! Performance Camp

• • Ages: 6th grade – 12th grade (recent graduates)

• • Performances: July 31st, Aug 1, 2, 7,8,9

• • Instructors: Zoe Centers (Hillsboro High School Drama teacher), Jeananne Kelsey (local choreographer, actor and director in the Portland metro area), Ben Noyes (Hillsboro High School Choir Teacher), Ali Luey (NATS certified voice teacher and actor)

About the Show: The Addams Family: The Musical They’re creepy, they’re kooky, and they’re coming to Theatre in the Grove! Join us for The Addams Family: The Musical, a hilarious and heartwarming musical comedy based on the beloved characters created by Charles Addams. Filled with catchy songs, humor, and plenty of spooky charm, this production is perfect for anyone who loves a spooky fun time. The story begins when Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, falls in love with a sweet, respectable young man from a perfectly normal family. Wednesday invites her boyfriend and his family to dinner at the Addams home. What follows is a wildly entertaining evening of misunderstandings, family chaos, surprising confessions, and unforgettable moments that prove every family is strange in its own way. Beneath the gothic humor is a story about love, growing up, family expectations, and learning to accept one another, quirks and all. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, and Thing, or meeting the Addams Family for the first time, this musical delivers laughs and heart. Auditioning for the Performance Camp This camp requires for students to audition before they are admitted to the camp. Auditions will be held May 24. Students can sign up for auditions at https://signup.com/go/oqYSUDx Students will sign up for a 5 min audition slot and should prepare 1 min of a golden age musical theatre song, with a backing/karaoke track (providing their own wireless speaker for the audition). After students are admitted to the camp, they will need to do a second set of auditions for specific roles in June. After casting, they will receive their materials so they have time to begin learning their part. Once students audition for their role no refunds for the camp will be given.
