Welcome to the Kit Kat Club, where the music is hot, the nightlife is intoxicating, and the world outside is beginning to unravel.

Theatre in the Grove proudly launches its 55th Season with the landmark musical Cabaret, directed by Zoe Centers. Set in Berlin during the final years of the Weimar Republic, Cabaret follows aspiring American writer Cliff Bradshaw as he becomes entangled in the vibrant, seductive world of nightclub performer Sally Bowles. Inside the Kit Kat Club, life is a dazzling celebration of freedom, self-expression, and escape. Outside its doors, however, political extremism and social upheaval are quietly reshaping Germany.

Featuring unforgettable songs including “Willkommen,” “Maybe This Time,” and the title song “Cabaret,” this Tony Award-winning musical remains as powerful and relevant today as when it first premiered. Equal parts spectacle, romance, comedy, and cautionary tale, Cabaret explores the choices people make when confronted with uncertainty and change.

As Theatre in the Grove celebrates 55 years of bringing stories to life in the historic Star Theatre stage, Cabaret serves as a fitting opening production. The musical’s themes of art, resilience, community, and the transformative power of live performance reflect the spirit that has sustained TITG for more than five decades.
