This is a delightful new retelling of the Winnie the Pooh stories, imagined through the eyes of A.A. Milne, his son Christopher Robin, and a charming surprise neighbor. A.A. Milne brings the beloved characters to life to help his young son discover the true meaning of friendship and new beginnings.

Please have a 1 minute monologue or poem prepared to perform. It does not have to be memorized. Actors will also be reading from at least two scenes from the play.
Please bring a headshot and theatrical resume.
Age range: Age 8 to 16
Rehearsals will begin November 17. There will be no mandatory rehearsals Thanksgiving week and Winter Break.
IMPORTANT: All actors must be committed to missing three days of school, because they will be performing for elementary students at the theater.

Breakdown of characters:
- A.A. Milne: Father of Christopher Robin. THIS ROLE HAS ALREADY BEEN CAST
- Christopher Robin: Young son of A. A. Milne. He just moved from the country to London and is not happy, because he had to leave his two best friends, Bernard and Anne.
- Winnifred: New young neighbor of Christopher and his father. She is described as an “odd duck” with messy clothing and a dirty face. She wants to be Christopher’s friend.
- Winnie-the-Pooh: A delightful bear who loves his friends and honey.
- Rabbit: A very nervous and concerned character
- Piglet: Also nervous, but a very loving and loyal pig
- Eeyore: A very sincere, but melancholy donkey.
- Kanga: A concerned and dedicated kangaroo mother.
- Roo: Kanga’s sweet child.
- Bernard: Christopher’s friend back in the country.
- Anne: Christopher’s friend back in the country.
