Dorinda has been acting and singing on stages across North America for over 40 years. Favorite musical roles include Beverly (The Mad Ones), Sally Brown (You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown), Reno Sweeney (Anything Goes), Joanne (RENT) and Janis Joplin (The Best of Rock & Roll). Favorite non musical roles include Blanche Dubois (A Streetcar Named Desire), Kate Keller (All My Sons), Suzy Hendrix (Wait Until Dark) and Becca (Rabbit Hole). A prolific director, Dorinda has won several awards for her work, including Portland Broadway World’s Best Director and Best Play 2021 (A Feminine Ending) and the Willamette Weeks Best Play of 2019 (How I Learned to Drive). She studied Theater/Directing at University in her native country, where she is also a multi-album Canadian Recording Artist. She is a proud Board Member for the American Association of Community Theatre (AACT) and currently also serves on the board of OCTA (Oregon Community Theatre Alliance).Dorinda has been the Producing Artistic Director of Twilight Theater Company in north Portland since 2016 and believes strongly that community theatre changes lives!
