Miss Bethany is starting her 35th year of teaching dance. Miss Bethany has had the opportunity to train with many great dancers in the area of Tap and Jazz. She studied under Judy Ann Bassing of New York, Lyn Cramer, Gus Giordano and Bruce Steggman. In ballet, Peter Paulition, a student of Mikhail Baryshnikov and Barb Hemion of UNM. Miss Bethany’s interests and experience in the performing arts has included working with and performing for Meribeth Kisner and Julie Cartier of Chi Town lazz Dance Company of Chicago and a Lutheran Liturgical Company while in high school. She also sang and danced in a Cabaret show under the direction of Christine Grable, a former lead in “Chorus Line” on Broadway. Miss Bethany has choreographed and stage-managed at her hometown high school, university, and opera house. She has continued to choreograph musicals here in Oregon for the local High schools and Theatre in the Grove. Miss Bethany has continued her dance education by attending NYCDA and JUMP Dance Conventions. She also has attended Rhee Golds Dance Teacher Life Conferences in 2018 and 2023 and Energize Teacher Conference, 2024 in Chicago. Miss Bethany enjoyed choreographing 9 to 5, Annie and Catch me if you can for Theatre in the Grove. Such a Great, talented community Theatre to work for.
