Cheryl Thompson-Merrill

Cheryl is delighted to be playing in the pit at Theater in the Grove. She grew up in Forest Grove where she took part in community theater as a youth. A flutist for more than 30 years, she has now played in over 20 musicals. Cheryl is a member of the Portland Wind Symphony, and the principal flutist with the Jewish Community Orchestra. She is currently studying jazz at AJAM and takes both flute and sax lessons. When not practicing she enjoys the outdoors, good food and travel.
